Oyibode Vincent Congratulates Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on Supreme Court Victory.

The honourable commissioner for Oil and Gas, Delta State Olorogun Vincent Ogheneruemu Oyibode, JP FCIA, has hailed Friday’s January 19, 2024 Supreme Court revalidation of the election of Rt. Hon. Sheriff F. O. Oborevwori as the duly elected governor of Delta State.

Speaking to newsmen at Asaba the state capital, Oyibode noted that the unanimous verdict of the Supreme Court judges describing the Sen. Omo Agege, Gbagi and Pela suits as lacking in merit, wasting of the courts time and a mere academic exercise, further reenforced the grassroots acceptance of the M.O.R.E governor by majority of voters in Delta State.

Oyibode said “the Judiciary has again proved itself strong in the protection of democracy and the rule of law in Nigeria. I have never entertained any iota of doubt about today’s outcome because it was clear that Deltans voted overwhelmingly to elect the Governor”.

“Governor Oborevwori is a man of the people and a peace-loving statesman. The decision of the supreme court will definitely go a long way to solidify the faith of the masses in the courts. I felicitate with the PDP family and Deltans at home and in the diaspora.” He stressed.

Oyibode urged the APC, SDP, LP and Omo Agege, Gbagi and Pela, to accept the verdict in good faith and join hands with the governor to move the state forward.

In a related development and in the mood of the victory, Olorogun Oyibode equally poured encomium on the Executive Governor of Delta State His Excellency Rt. Hon Elder Sheriff Oborevwori for his developmental strides in the state and urged all Deltans to support his administration, adding that MORE better days are here with with Oborevwori in charge.
